He eventually became the Prior General of the Order. He is most famously known for the vision in 1251 in which the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to him and gave him the Brown Scapular, a sacramental of protection and a sign of salvation for those who wear it devoutly. He died in Bordeaux in 1265 at the age of 100.
The Guardian of Divine Protection and Well-Being
Saint Simon Stock is a compassionate intercessor for those seeking spiritual protection and the restoration of physical vigor. Having lived a life of profound discipline and longevity, he is a dedicated advocate for vitality and the strengthening of the weary. He is frequently sought for his intercession regarding respiratory health and the clearing of the breath, as well as for relief from high fever. In the modern era, he is also invoked by those navigating food sensitivity issues and digestive imbalances. Because of his long journeys between England and the Holy Land, he is a faithful patron for safe travel. His oil is a sacramental of Marian devotion and physical renewal, intended to lift the soul from despair, fortify the lungs, and provide a shield of grace for the body and the journey.

- Biblical Tradition: The use of relics is deeply rooted in Scripture, from the bones of Elisha (2 Kings 13:20-21) to the handkerchiefs of St. Paul (Acts 19:11-12). They serve as a physical conduit for faith, through which God has performed countless miracles.
The Biblical Significance of Nardo (Spikenard)
At the heart of our oil blend is Spikenard (Nardo), which we import directly from Israel. This oil holds a sacred place in Catholic tradition as the "precious ointment" used by St. Mary Magdalene to anoint the feet of Jesus (John 12:3). By using this same biblical oil, we aim to evoke the same spirit of devotion, healing, and preparation for the Lord’s work in your own life.
Premium Product Details
-
The Recipe: Our blend features Spikenard (Nardo) from Israel, Mediterranean olive leaf, and Rose or Lavender fragrance, all held in a premium Sweet Almond carrier oil. A fabric 3rd-class relic is submerged within the bottle.
-
Refillable: Because the fabric relic remains in the bottle, you may refill the vessel once it is empty. It will automatically become a 3rd-class relic oil upon contact with the relic. If you do not have access to specific oil blends, we recommend using Extra Virgin Olive Oil for your refills.
-
The Card: (If selected) 2 5/8in x 5 1/8in (67mm x 130mm). Handcrafted with 8mil photo paper and 5mil lamination with a clear-view relic window.
-
Usage Note: PLEASE SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. Spikenard oil is naturally less viscous and will settle at the bottom; this is a sign of the oil's purity and biblical authenticity.
