Many people notice that the crucifixes on our Royal, Majestic, and Classic rosaries look different from the ones found in local Catholic shops. The most significant difference lies at the very top of the St. Benedict medal.

Traditional Spiritual Protection: The Benedictine medal is one of the Church’s most respected sacramentals for spiritual protection and exorcism. By returning to the original medal approved by the Papacy, this crucifix provides a link to centuries of tradition and a bold rejection of modernistic influence. The Modern Version (PAX): Most modern medals (the "Jubilee" version from 1880) feature the word PAX, which is Latin for "Peace." While peace is the beautiful motto of the Benedictine Order, it was not the original design approved by the Papacy for the medal’s use in spiritual warfare.

The Original Version (IHS): Our medals feature the IHS monogram. Derived from the first three letters of the Greek name for Jesus (ΙΗΣΟΥΣ), this monogram has been used since the earliest days of the Church to invoke the power of the Holy Name.
